This past Tuesday, a 37-year-old man was stabbed to death at a Brooklyn smoke shop following an argument. According to ABC’s reporting, the incident occurred around 10.20 p.m. on 4th Avenue at Park Slope Convenience. The victim reportedly became agitated after opening the store door for the suspect and hearing no “thank you.”

The employee Kharef Alsaidi said, “It was only about not expressing ‘thank you’ for opening the door for him.” Mr. Alsaidi continued, “Why don’t you say, ‘Thank you for opening the door?'” In response, the criminal said, “I didn’t instruct you to open the door for me.”
A violent conflict broke out after a short period of disagreement, and it quickly spread outside of the business. After that, the victim pleaded with the offender to stab him if he could. As the main portal said, the perpetrator then rapidly removed a knife from his bicycle and stabbed the victim many times in the stomach and neck.
Mr. Alsaidi stated, “The victim started shouting, ‘He stabbed me, he stabbed me,’ and then he staggered back inside the store, bleeding all over the floor.”

At New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, the person was pronounced dead. So yet, no one has been taken into custody.

Mr. Alsaidi stated that he attempted to have the man put away his knife in an effort to defuse the situation. Let’s face it: he’s not valuable. It’s not worth the hassle. Nothing I tried to say or do seemed to help the situation de-escalate.
